(post from 2017)
A lot of people look at entertainers and musicians and covet their lives. Others are jealous and despise them because they had the nerve to be bold enough to go after their lifelong dreams. Instead of mimicking their drive to fulfill their own, they covet or tear them down. No one can imagine the loneliness that I am sure is attached to the fame that those artists have acquired.
Although not famous-yet, I too experience my fair share of lonely days and lonely nights. Sometimes I give so much of myself to others that I don't have any left for myself. I receive nothing back because the people I have given it to have nothing to give me...Though this can leave one melancholy, in Acts 26, Paul had been accused and was standing before King Agrippa-alone. When the King gave him the opportunity to speak on his own behalf, the first thing that Paul said is "I think myself happy, King Agrippa...." I pray today that the Lord of our faith and dreams will grant all of us the willpower to stand alone and to think ourselves happy.....
